Colour-Neutral Blender For Multi Ink Pigment Pens
Staedtler Multi Ink blending liquid 893 is a colour-neutral blender in a 50 ml (1.69 fl oz) bottle, made to work with the permanent Multi Ink in Staedtler's pigment arts pens.
Staedtler say the blender dissolves the permanent Multi Ink. That lets you pull two colours together into a smooth transition, build gradients and ombre fades, and loosen pen lines into a watercolour-style wash. Brushed over an area, it can also lighten a colour, which is useful for adding light reflections and, as Staedtler put it, even correcting minor errors.
There are two ways to use it: load a paintbrush from the bottle, or fill the barrel of a water brush and blend straight on the page. The bottle has a narrow dosage tip for controlled filling. Staedtler describe the liquid as low-odour and water-based, and recommend watercolour paper and non-absorbent surfaces for best results.
Staedtler state it is made in Germany. It extends the pigment arts range: brush pens, soft brush pens, calligraphy pens and a round-tip pigment pen.
