Blue Omnigraph Crayon For Marking Glass, Metal And Timber
Staedtler Lumocolor permanent omnigraph 236-3 is a blue universal crayon for opaque marking on almost any surface, supplied as a pack of 12.
Staedtler describe the omnigraph as a crayon for labelling and marking just about every material: paper, plastic, metal, glass, wood, leather and stone, including dark and transparent surfaces where a pencil line would disappear. It can also be used on wet wood. The mark is waterproof and, by Staedtler, highly lightfast, so writing stays legible for years, and it does not bleed through paper.
Blue gives a clear contrast on pale timber, plaster, light metal and white plastics without the warning feel of red, which is why many workshops keep it for general set-out marks and part numbers. The hexagonal crayon is 113 mm long and about 12 mm across, a solid size to hold on site.
