POSTED Stamp With Date For Outgoing Mail
The Shiny Printer S-406, sold as Staedtler 9S406, is a self-inking POSTED stamp that dates outgoing letters and file copies in a single press.
Mailrooms and small offices put it on the file copy of anything that leaves by post, so there is a dated record of when a notice, statement or contract went out. Bookkeepers also use POSTED to mark a document once it has been entered against a ledger.
Unlike several of its siblings there is no BY: label. Staedtler's catalogue sample shows the outline POSTED heading with bracket ends, the date inside it, and a plain dashed line underneath. According to Staedtler the lettering prints blue and the 4mm date prints red.
Shiny make the stamp and Staedtler handle it in Australia. It refills with Shiny supreme ink.
