Staedtler 977 507 is the Mars professional isometric ellipses template, with 37 ellipses from 4 mm to 40 mm in 1 mm increments.
In an isometric drawing every circle on the faces of a cube appears as the same ellipse, turned to suit the face. This template gives those ellipses at every whole millimetre, and Staedtler measure the isometric diameter through the 30 degree diagonal, so the size you pick matches the circle on your plan. The sheet also has 30 and 60 degree drawing edges for the isometric axes.
The green transparent plastic is 0.8 mm thick and matte on one side. Staedtler build inking risers into the sheet and print the sizes, centring lines and a 200 mm scale in black ink. Use a 0.5 mm lead, which is what Staedtler size the openings for.
