A Gum Eraser For Cleaning Up, Not Scrubbing Out
Staedtler 925 11BK is the art gum eraser on a blister card, and this listing is 10 cards with one eraser on each.
An art gum is a tan, soft block that is meant to be used lightly. Staedtler describe the 925 11 as a gum eraser and cleaner that gently cleans and erases surface dirt and smudges. They list it for paper, wood, metal, plastic and delicate surfaces, and for crafters, artists and professionals.
That makes it the eraser to reach for at the end of a drawing: tidying fingerprints and graphite haze around a sketch, cleaning margins on a plan before it is scanned, or wiping grubby marks off a model or a mount board. It is not a heavy duty eraser for dense pencil, where a plastic block such as the Mars plastic does more of the work.
Ten carded erasers suit an art room, a drafting office or a shop shelf.
