Cool Silver Highlights In Ten Thin Sheets
FIMO leaf metal 8781-81 is Staedtler's silver-coloured leaf, sold as a pack of 10 sheets measuring 14 x 14 cm, for metallic surface effects on clay and other crafts.
Silver gives a cooler, more modern finish than gold. It looks sharp over black or deep blue clay, on minimalist pendants and rings, on frosty winter decorations and on concrete-look or grey home decor pieces. Staedtler say the leaf adheres to many different surfaces and call it an easy technique for a variety of creative ideas.
Lay a full sheet for a mirror-like patch, or rub it into fragments for a crackled look. Gold 8781-11 and copper 8781-26 make up the rest of the range.
Clay, varnish and liquid FIMO are all under FIMO, and modelling clay has the large black blocks that show silver off.
