FIMOair light 8131-76 is a 250g block of Staedtler's extremely lightweight, air-drying modelling clay in terracotta, for models that need to hang, float or sit lightly on a wall.
The point of the light version is weight. Staedtler's Australian catalogue singles out mobiles and masks as ideal uses, the kind of work where a heavy clay would pull on a string or a hook. The terracotta colour gives the warm look of fired earthenware without any glaze or firing.
Staedtler call it pottery without a kiln. The clay is ready to use, has a smooth consistency and is dimensionally stable, then hardens in the air with no oven needed. A foil wrapper inside the pack stops the block drying out before you open it.
