The FIMOair 8101-0 is a 1kg block of white air-drying modelling clay that hardens without baking or firing.
Staedtler make FIMOair as a clay-like modelling material for pottery without a kiln: shape it, leave it to air dry and it hardens with no oven needed. It has a smooth consistency, holds its shape and comes ready to use, and Staedtler state it contains at least 95% natural substances. The 1kg white block gives a classroom or family plenty of clay for bowls, figures, tiles and models.
Staedtler Australia describe FIMOair as safe for children over 3, with a neutral smell, and Staedtler note it is tested by independent toxicologists and dermatologically tested. Once hard, models can be filed, sanded, drilled, painted and varnished. The foil packaging stops unused clay drying out.
