Odd, Friendly Creatures With No Wrong Answers
FIMO kids form and play Monster, article 8034 11 LZ from Staedtler, is a modelling set for three goofy monsters: a one-eyed white ghost with a bow, a spotty yellow horned beast and a round red creature with tusks.
Monsters suit children who like to improvise. An eye a bit too big or a lopsided horn only adds character, so it is a forgiving first project. The booklet still gives clear steps to follow, and the modelling stick shapes mouths, teeth and spots.
Like every form and play set, the box holds four 42 g blocks of FIMO kids clay, a modelling stick, the instruction booklet and a background scene to play in. Staedtler do not publish a colour list for this set online; the earlier contents photo shows white, yellow, red and green.
A 30 minute bake at 110°C turns soft monsters solid. Staedtler pitch the set at ages 8+, and the pack wants a grown-up keeping watch.
