Colour 6 Lilac, A Rich Purple For Flowers And Dragons
FIMO kids 8030-6 is the colour Staedtler list as lilac on their Australian website: a strong purple block of soft oven-bake clay, 42 g in 8 portions.
Despite the gentle name, the clay is a deep violet purple, as the photos show. Children reach for it to make violets and lavender, grapes and plums, a wizard's hat, a dragon or a monster with spots. It also gives contrast to a scene built from yellows and greens.
Staedtler's catalogue index calls the same article violet, so either name refers to colour 6. Knead in white for a paler lilac or pastel mauve, and in pink for a warmer magenta.
When the model is done, bake at 110°C for 30 minutes.
