A Blue-Green Block For Sea Themes And Signs
Staedtler FIMO kids in turquoise, article 8030-39, is a soft oven-bake clay that sits between blue and green, sold here as a single 42 g block.
Turquoise is the colour for anything ocean: fish, whale tails, mermaid scales and waves around a rock pool. It also makes a bright backing for a bedroom door plaque, like the one in Staedtler's own photo, with letters pressed on in contrasting shades.
The clay is extra soft, so smaller hands can roll snakes and balls without much effort, and the block breaks cleanly along its 8 scored sections. Staedtler list it for children 8+ years in their 2024 Australian catalogue and state it conforms to EN 71.
When the piece is done, bake it at 110°C for 30 minutes in a domestic oven. The temperature and time are printed on every FIMO kids pack.
