Colour 3 Blue For Water, Sky And Anything That Moves
FIMO kids 8030-3 is the plain blue block in Staedtler's oven-bake modelling clay for children: 42 g of clay, marked into 8 portions, that bakes hard at 110°C in 30 minutes.
Blue is usually the first colour a child reaches for when a scene needs an ocean, a river or a sky, and then for whatever lives or travels in it: whales and fish, a sailing boat, a racing car or a friendly robot. The block is scored into segments, so one strip can be snapped off for a small boat while the remainder stays wrapped for another day.
Staedtler make FIMO kids particularly soft, so small hands can roll and press it straight away. Blue also blends with the other colours in the range. Work in some white for a pale sky, or knead it with yellow to make a green of your own.
When the model is finished, an adult hardens it in the oven at 110°C for 30 minutes, following the pack.
