Sunny Yellow For Bees, Chicks And Stars
This is one 42 g block of FIMO kids yellow (8030-1), the bright primary in Staedtler's children's oven-bake clay.
Yellow carries a lot of the fun in a child's model: the sun in a picture plaque, bumblebee stripes, Easter chicks, bananas, stars and crowns. Paired with blue it blends to green, which is useful when a set has run short.
FIMO kids is softer than the adult FIMO ranges, and Staedtler say it is made specifically for children. The block divides into 8 sections, and a finished model is baked at 110°C for 30 minutes so it can be kept.
Staedtler state the clay conforms to EN 71, and their 2024 Australian catalogue recommends it for children 8+ years.
