The Base Colour In A FIMO kids Kit
White FIMO kids, Staedtler article 8030-0, is the block most children run out of first, because it turns up in almost every model and lightens every other colour.
On its own it makes snowmen, clouds, sheep, teeth, and the whites of eyes on every creature. Knead a small amount of white into red and you get pink; into blue and you get a soft sky colour. That is why a spare white block is handy beside a starter set.
Like the rest of the FIMO kids range, it is a soft 42 g block marked into 8 portions and set by baking at 110°C for 30 minutes. Staedtler's Australian catalogue gives 8+ years as the recommended age, and Staedtler state the clay conforms to EN 71.
White shows fingerprints and stray colour more than darker shades, so wipe hands between colours before shaping it.
