Sahara: Sand Beige For Neutral Pieces
FIMO soft colour 70, sahara, is a pale sand beige from Staedtler, sold as a 57 g block of oven-bake modelling clay.
Neutral tones are the backbone of modern clay earrings, and sahara is a natural base for terrazzo slabs flecked with chocolate, caramel and black chips. It also makes sand, stone walls, bread dough, parchment, cream coloured cups and minimalist home deco.
On Staedtler's neutral board it sits next to white, dolphin grey, pale pink, cognac, caramel and chocolate. Mixed with white it becomes an off white; with a portion of caramel it warms to a biscuit colour.
Staedtler describe FIMO soft as soft and smooth and easy to blend, with the block divided into 8 portions. Harden at 110°C for 30 minutes in the oven.
