Bold Purple For Statement Pieces
Staedtler FIMO soft 8020-61 is purple: a rich, magenta leaning purple in a 57 g block. Staedtler's own sample tile is stamped with the German name, purpur.
It is a colour for confident work. Statement earrings, chunky beads and pendants carry it well, and it makes convincing grapes, plums, blackberries and beetroot in miniature food. On character figures it is a strong choice for capes, hats and dragons.
Purple sits at the deep end of Staedtler's pink and purple board, next to plum and raspberry. For a lighter, cooler purple, look at lavender or lilac. Mixing a portion of purple into raspberry gives a berry wine shade.
Each block is soft and ready to work, scored into 8 portions and packed in an easy to open, resealable wrapper. Bake at 110°C for 30 minutes to harden.
