Soft Pastel Lilac For Gentle Colour Schemes
FIMO 8020-605 is lilac, a pale pastel purple in a 57g standard block of oven-bake modelling clay, now packed by Staedtler as part of FIMO soft.
FIMO effect pastel lilac is the older name, from the way this colour used to be wrapped; the earlier wrapper is in our photos. Staedtler's current website and Australian catalogue list the same article number and barcode under FIMO soft, in a pastel row alongside vanilla, light pink, aqua, peach and mint.
Lilac works for spring flowers, lavender sprigs, baby shower favours, macaron and dessert charms and soft-toned beads. Next to lavender and purple it builds a tonal palette; with mint or peach it gives a classic pastel mix.
Staedtler describe the clay as soft and smooth, easy to blend and divided into 8 portions. Lilac firms up in 30 minutes at 110°C. FIMO soft is made in Germany, per Staedtler.
Pastel partners are in FIMO and modelling clay; findings sit in jewellery making supplies and classroom packs in educational craft supplies.
