Peppermint: A Light Turquoise Clay
Peppermint is a light turquoise blue, sold as FIMO soft 8020-39 in Staedtler's 57 g standard block of oven-bake clay.
Think swimming pools, shallow beach water, retro kitchen pieces, ice cream toppings and summer bead stacks. Peppermint keeps a fresh, clear tone and works as a background for darker details in brilliant blue or chocolate.
Staedtler group it with mint and aqua on their colour board. Mint reads greener and paler; aqua is a pale sky tone. Peppermint is the brightest of the three, and it can be knocked back to a pastel with a portion or two of white.
The block is soft and ready to use, and Staedtler divide it into 8 portions for blending. Once modelled, pieces harden in the oven at 110°C over 30 minutes. Staedtler list FIMO soft as compatible with FIMO professional too.
