Blush Pink For Flowers, Cakes And Charms
Staedtler FIMO 8020-205 is light pink, a soft blush shade sold in the 57g standard block of oven-bake clay and now listed by Staedtler under FIMO soft.
Light pink is the shade most often reached for in miniature food and floral work: rose petals, cupcake icing on a fake cake, ballet slippers, piglets and pastel earrings. It also lightens other colours without making them chalky, so a pinch kneaded into red gives a strawberry tone.
Before the FIMO soft wrapper, this colour came in a Fimo Effect pastel pack, seen in our second photo. Staedtler's current Australian catalogue and website both carry 8020-205 as FIMO soft light pink, with the same barcode as ours.
Staedtler position FIMO soft as a smooth, soft clay for beginners and hobby artists, easy to open and practical to portion thanks to 8 segments in each block. Bake at 110°C for 30 minutes to harden. It is compatible with FIMO soft and FIMO professional, and Staedtler state it is made in Germany.
