A Soft Neutral For Stitched Leather-Look Pieces
Dove grey 8010-809 is the light, cool neutral in Staedtler's FIMO leather-effect range: a 57 g block that bakes to a finish resembling leather.
A pale grey sits well beside almost any accent colour, so it suits bookmarks, card holders, gift tags and wall hangings where coloured stitching or a contrasting tassel does the talking. Because thin baked pieces can be bent and sewn, a strip of dove grey can wrap a notebook spine or fold into a small pouch.
Staedtler say the clay is soft and smooth to work and is divided into 8 portions for blending. Knead a little into black or ivory to shift the shade. It is compatible with FIMO soft, effect and professional.
Harden it in a household oven; the wrapper calls for 130°C and 30 minutes.
