Vivid Orange With A Black Light Kick
Neon orange, article 8010-401, is a 57g FIMO effect block of oven-bake modelling clay in a vivid fluorescent orange.
Orange is the warm one of the neon set. It makes convincing citrus slices, autumn leaves with a twist, Halloween pumpkins and high-visibility tags for keys or bags. Staedtler give the neon range a particularly bright black light effect, so orange pieces also light up under UV at a glow party or blacklight art display.
Mixed with white it softens towards a coral; mixed with neon pink it pushes towards a hot red-orange. Staedtler also recommend teaming neon with calmer tones to mix styles.
Like its neon siblings it is scored into 8 portions and suits blending with FIMO soft, leather-effect and professional. Orange hardens at 110°C over 30 minutes; Staedtler list Germany as where it is made.
