FIMO leather-effect 8010-249 is a coral-red 57 g block that Staedtler's website names watermelon, part of their clay range that bakes to a leather-like finish.
The bright pink-red suits summery tassel earrings, bookmark tails, keyring fobs and bag charms. Staedtler's bookmark photos show pink leather-effect strips finished with tassels, an easy first project for this shade.
Once hardened, thin pieces can be bent, braided and sewn, and the surface looks and feels similar to leather, according to Staedtler. The block is soft and smooth, comes in 8 portions and blends with FIMO soft, effect and professional.
Staedtler print the hardening setting, 130°C for 30 minutes, on the wrapper.
