Clay That Bakes To A Leather-Like Finish, In Ochre
FIMO leather effect 8010-179 is a 57 g block of ochre oven-bake modelling clay from Staedtler that, once hardened, has a surface and feel similar to leather.
The point of leather effect is what happens after baking. Staedtler say thin pieces stay bendable and can be braided or sewn, which opens up tassels, bracelets, key fobs, plant hangers, bag charms and appliqued patches that ordinary clay cannot do. Ochre is a warm mustard tone that reads like tan or suede and teams well with olive, rust and dark colours for a boho or autumn palette.
Soft and smooth to work, the block divides into 8 portions, and Staedtler state it can be mixed with FIMO soft, effect and professional. The pack prints the baking guide of 130°C for 30 minutes.
