A Bolder 0.7mm Line In A Triangle Grip
The 774 27 is the 0.7mm triplus micro from Staedtler: the same grey triangular mechanical pencil with a broader line, in a box of 10.
A 0.7mm lead lays down a wider stroke than the 0.5mm version, a width that suits everyday handwriting, quick outlines and marking up plans. The triangle-shaped barrel is Staedtler's ergonomic shape for relaxed writing and drawing, and its flat faces make it less inclined to roll on an angled drawing board.
Retract the lead sleeve into the chrome-plated metal tip and the pencil is pocket safe. While you write, the sleeve slides back to protect the lead, as Staedtler describe it. The twist eraser at the end is extra long and, according to Staedtler, PVC and latex free; refills come as 77 R56.
Staedtler list B leads for the pencil on their AU site. Swap grades with Mars micro carbon 250 leads in 0.7mm, such as HB or 2B.
