A Boxed Kit For Painted Flowers
Staedtler 61 3001-1 is the Mixed Set #5 Floral Watercolour Set: 8 double-ended watercolour brush pens, a pigment liner, a watercolour graphite pencil, a water brush and an eraser, 12 pieces in a gift box.
Staedtler put the set together for floral watercolour drawings. Sketch the outline with the Mars Lumograph aquarell 100A, ink the stems and petals with the 308 pigment liner, then colour with the Marsgraphic duo 3001 brush pens and pull the colour out into washes with the water-filled 949 brush. The art eraser 526 B30 tidies the pencil lines.
The eight brush pen colours make a garden palette: yellow, ochre, pink, red, orange, two greens and one blue. Per the swatch card, the pencil is a 4B and the liner a 0.1 mm. Staedtler print step-by-step instructions on the back of the box, and the window front shows the contents, so it presents well as a present.
Our product name calls it a watercolour pencil set, but most of the box is brush pens: there is only one pencil. Staedtler's page shows a Made in Germany pictogram for the set.
