Long 45 Degree Lines For A3 Boards
The Staedtler Mars 567 31-45 is a 31 cm right-angled square with two equal 45 degree corners, in clear blue plastic, and this listing is a pack of ten.
A 45 degree square does three jobs on a drawing board: true verticals off a T-square or parallel rule, diagonals at 45 degrees, and even cross hatching for sections. At 31 cm it reaches across most of an A3 sheet in one stroke, so long diagonals do not need to be joined.
Staedtler make the Mars 567 with an inking edge for technical pens, plus a millimetre scale that begins exactly at the edge, which lets you measure and draw against the same edge without shifting the square. The blue tint keeps the square easy to find on white paper while the drawing underneath stays visible. Staedtler state Made in Germany, and it is printed on the square next to the code.
For 30 and 60 degree work use the matching 567 31-60, and for smaller desks the 26 cm sizes.
