Seven Drawing Instruments In One Hard Case
The Staedtler ARCO 559 09 is a 7 piece compass set in a hard plastic case with a transparent lid, covering small circles, large arcs and measured transfers in one kit.
Staedtler list the contents as a precision springbow compass, a second precision compass, dividers, an extension bar, a ruling pen and handle, and a spares tube. The springbow suits small, repeatable radii, while the larger compass with its hinged leg and needle shoe supports drawing large diameters. Staedtler quote a maximum circle of 335mm, or 433mm with the extension arm fitted.
The dividers step off and transfer measurements without drawing, and the ruling pen takes ink for clean lines along a straight edge. Each piece sits in its own recess in the case, so it is easy to see when something has not been put back.
Staedtler describe the ARCO set as ideal for students, hobby and creative users. For a single ARCO compass in a soft wallet, see the 559 50 WP.
Add compasses, scale rulers and other technical drawing tools.
