Ten Maths Instruments In A Metal Tin
Staedtler 557 10 is the Noris maths set: ten instruments for school geometry packed in a metal storage tin.
Staedtler list the contents as a 15 cm ruler, a 180 degree protractor, 45 degree and 60 degree set squares, a sharpener, an eraser, a pencil, a compass, dividers and a lettering guide. The catalogue calls the tin a sturdy metal storage case and the set an ideal school maths set with quality components.
Dividers and a lettering stencil are what set it apart from smaller kits. Dividers step off equal distances and transfer lengths between drawings, and the stencil gives neat capitals, lower case and numerals for labelling diagrams. The inside of the lid is printed with reference tables, and the tin closes flat for a school bag.
Two of the photos show the earlier Noris Club tin and box. The current pack is the Noris math set tin, sold in a card sleeve.
