Sliding Plastic-Sleeve Erasers, Twelve To A Box
Staedtler 525 PS1 is a white eraser held in a hard blue plastic sleeve with a slider, and this listing is a box of 12, Staedtler Australia's unit for the article.
Unlike a card sleeve that you peel back, the 525 PS has a core sliding mechanism: a white thumb slider on the sleeve pushes the eraser out a little at a time and pulls it back in when you are done. The eraser stays covered in a pencil case, so it does not pick up dirt and smudge the next page, and the narrow sleeve gives a firm, pen-like grip for small corrections.
Staedtler state it is free of PVC, phthalates and latex, and that it crumbles very little. The sleeve also has a small loop at one end.
Staedtler's counter display holds the twelve upright, which suits a school canteen counter, newsagent or stationery room. Teachers handing them out for exams get a clean, contained eraser for every desk.
