The 488 64-5 is Staedtler's green refill pot, 30 ml of ink for topping up a green Textsurfer classic 364 when it runs dry.
Green is the colour many people keep for approved, done or paid. Pens used that way get worked hard on checklists and invoices, so a pot on the desk saves buying a new box every time one fades. To refill, uncap the highlighter and stand it nib down in the pot; the card shows a minimum of 3 hours.
According to Staedtler the highlighter cannot be overfilled, and their catalogue gives up to 7 refills for each pen, with the tip condition deciding the final count. The pot is made of PP in Germany, as Staedtler state, and the catalogue also lists it for the Textsurfer classic rainbow colours.
