Staedtler 488 51-9 is the black Lumocolor whiteboard refill station, a 30 ml pot that recharges the 351 bullet and 351 B chisel whiteboard markers.
Black is the workhorse colour on most whiteboards, so it is the one that fades first in meeting rooms and classrooms. Instead of throwing out a marker with a sound tip and an empty reservoir, stand it tip down in this station. Staedtler say it is ready again a few minutes later and holds a complete charge after 3 to 4 hours.
The marker can only draw its own maximum ink content out of the pot, so overfilling is not possible and nothing needs to be poured or measured. Staedtler state one station can refill up to 5 markers, depending on the condition of each tip.
It suits schools, training rooms and offices that run a stock of Lumocolor 351 markers. A whiteboard wiper and a spare black marker or two make a tidy refill kit for the board ledge.
