Black Refill Station For Lumocolor Permanent Universal Pens
Staedtler 487 17-9 is a 15 ml pot of black ink for refilling permanent Lumocolor pens: the 313, 314, 317 and 318.
The 313 superfine, 318 fine, 317 medium and 314 broad are the Lumocolor pens people use for labelling, marking film and writing on almost any surface. Staedtler describe them as smudge-proof and waterproof on almost all surfaces. Black is the colour most of them are bought in, and this pot keeps a black pen writing after its reservoir runs low.
The ink is permanent: Staedtler describe 487 17 as the refill station for the permanent universal pens, and the pot label reads Lumocolor permanent. Black non-permanent 311, 312, 315 and 316 pens take the 487 15 refill.
Using it is simple: insert the pen tip and leave it. Staedtler say it writes again within minutes, is full after 3 to 4 hours and cannot be overfilled. Their catalogue allows a pen as many as 10 refills, tip permitting.
