The 371 C6-1 Reds and Pinks box holds six Staedtler pigment brush pens: red, a deep crimson numbered 23, red violet, magenta, rosé pink and light rosé.
Six related reds and pinks make it easy to shade a single subject from its darkest fold to its brightest highlight. Roses and peonies, flamingos, strawberries, lips and cheeks in fashion sketches all come together with this box, and it covers most of what a valentine, a hen party invitation or a pink-themed journal spread needs. Light rosé is soft enough for blush tones and backgrounds, while the crimson and red violet put depth into petals and folds.
The pens use Multi Ink, the translucent pigment India ink in the whole Pigment Arts range. Staedtler describe it as permanent and waterproof when dry, fast-drying and resistant to fading, with each colour rated for lightfastness. While the ink is still wet, a lighter pen dragged over a darker one blends the edge into a gradient.
