Blush Pink For Invitations, Blossom And Pastel Lettering
Staedtler colour 21, light rosé (our title spells it rose), is a soft blush pink, and a pack here holds ten 371-21 pigment brush pens for invitations, cards and floral work.
Pale pink carries a lot of paper goods: wedding and engagement stationery, baby shower cards, a thank you note that should feel gentle rather than bright. Illustrators use it for cherry blossom petals, rose buds before the darker shading goes in, cheeks and lips on a fair face, and the light side of a pink flower. Letterers like it for the thick downstrokes of a pastel script, with a darker pink or grey drop shadow added once the first layer is dry.
It is the palest member of Staedtler's Reds and Pinks box (371 C6-1) and also appears in the Pastel six (C6-10), the Pastel twelve (C12-2) and the Portrait twelve (C12-4). Pair it with rosé pink 208 and magenta 20 when a flower needs light, mid and deep pinks from the one range.
Staedtler fill the 371 with Multi Ink, a translucent India ink with pigments that they call permanent, waterproof and quick to dry. Their notes also say it will not show through thin journal or sketchbook paper.
