Light Peach 431 For Skin Bases, Blossom And Soft Warm Tints
Light peach, number 431 in Staedtler's 371 colour list, is a pale apricot tint, and this box listing gives you ten 371-431 brush pens in it for skin base layers, blossom and gentle warm backgrounds.
Portrait and figure artists tend to lay this colour down first on fair skin, then build cheeks and shadow with dusty rose 207 or sand 450 on top once it has dried. Outside of faces it is the colour of apricots, peach skin, cherry and almond blossom and the warm glow low in a sunrise sky. In planners and bullet journals it makes a quiet highlight band behind a heading without shouting over the black text.
Staedtler put 431 into three of their boxed sets: Beiges and Neutrals (C6-6), the Pastel six (C6-10) and both the Pastel and Portrait twelves (C12-2 and C12-4). Buying it in tens makes sense when it runs out ahead of the rest of a set.
The pen holds Multi Ink, a translucent pigment India ink. Staedtler rate it permanent and waterproof when dry, with no show-through on the back of the sheet, and because it is translucent a pale colour like this will not cover dark paper or earlier dark strokes.
