Intense Black For Inking, Outlines And Bold Brush Lettering
A pack of 10 Staedtler 371-99 pigment brush pens in 99 intense black, the black of the pigment brush pen 371 range.
Black does the structural work: the border of a comic panel, the contour of a character, the thick and thin strokes of a brush script alphabet. Staedtler describe the medium-strength nib as an ideal balance between flexibility and strength, so pressure changes the line from a hairline to a broad stroke and back within one letter.
Because Staedtler say Multi Ink can be painted over without smudging once dry, black contours can go down first and colour, markers or watercolour can follow. The ink is waterproof, and Staedtler say it will not bleed through the paper, even thin stock. For fine detail in the same ink, Staedtler also make the round tip pigment pen 376 in intense black, and the pigment soft brush pen 372 for looser strokes.
More brush pens, calligraphy pens, art markers and Staedtler.
