A 24 Colour Pigment Brush Pen Palette With Blacks And Greys
Staedtler 371 C24 brings together 24 pigment brush pens in assorted colours, a broad all round palette that includes the blacks and greys smaller sets leave out.
Staedtler list the colours as 1 yellow, 105 pastel yellow, 4 orange, 2 red, 20 magenta, 23 bordeaux, 21 light rosé, 431 light peach, 61 red violet, 620 lavender light, 6 violet, 36 indigo blue, 3 blue, 30 pale blue, 35 turquoise, 5 green, 51 willow green, 730 sienna raw, 790 umber, 76 brown, 87 cool grey medium, 871 cool grey dark, 90 light black and 99 intense black.
Why this box over a six or twelve? Balance. Every colour family is covered, with pale tints (pastel yellow, light rosé, light peach, pale blue) for backgrounds and skin, three browns for earth and hair, and a proper value range at the dark end. That makes it a sensible single purchase for an art student, an illustrator starting with Multi Ink, or a classroom sharing one kit.
Note that 371 C24 and 371 C24-1 are different Staedtler articles with different colour lists; C24-1 is a second palette that complements this one.
Staedtler describe Multi Ink as water-based and pigmented, permanent and waterproof when dry, with extreme lightfastness and no bleed-through.
