Violet Textsurfer Classic, One Of Two Copy Proof Colours
Staedtler 364-6 is the violet Textsurfer classic chisel-tip highlighter, in a box of 10.
Violet has a practical job beyond looking different: Staedtler name violet and turquoise as the copy proof Textsurfer colours, which remain visible when a marked page is photocopied. That makes violet a good choice for documents that will be copied and passed on, and for a fifth or sixth category once yellow, pink, green and blue are taken.
The ink is a lightfast pigment ink, per Staedtler's catalogue, and it is fast-drying. Staedtler's INK-JET SAFE rating for the neon 364 colours covers inkjet printouts and handwriting. Laid flat the chisel tip marks about 5 mm, on its edge about 1 mm; the tip is locked and the cap twists off. It is airplane-safe according to Staedtler, who make it in Germany.
We could not find a violet refill pot in Staedtler Australia's 2024 list, so plan on replacing rather than refilling this colour.
