Staedtler 348-3 is the blue Lumocolor permanent duo, with a fine tip and a medium tip on one barrel, in a box of 10.
Blue is the everyday second colour for annotation: initials and dates on stock, a "checked" mark on returned gear, or a neat note on a plastic pocket next to black print. With the duo there is no swapping pens: write the detail with the F end, about 0.6 mm, and flip to the M end for a heavier heading.
Staedtler say the 348 ink is smudge-proof and waterproof, dries in seconds, is colour-intensive and low in odour, and contains no xylene or toluene. The barrel and caps are PP, both tips are locked into place, and with DRY SAFE ink an uncapped pen on the desk keeps working for days. The pen is airplane safe too.
Staedtler give their lightfast and weatherproof rating for black, so use blue indoors or for short term marking.
