Staedtler 348-2 is the red Lumocolor permanent duo marker, fine at one end and medium at the other, packed 10 to a box.
Red is the colour of attention: a fault tag on a returned unit, a "reject" on a carton, an expiry date on a chemical bottle or a correction on a laminated sheet. The duo handles both sizes of mark; the fine F tip, about 0.6 mm, fits small text on vials and cable tags, while the M end makes the flag visible from further away.
According to Staedtler the 348 has smudge-proof, waterproof ink that dries in seconds and has a low odour, with no xylene or toluene. It is airplane safe, the PP barrel and caps are built for long service, and DRY SAFE ink survives being left uncapped for days.
