Red Fine Line For Warnings, Rejects And Corrections
Staedtler 318-2 is the red Lumocolor permanent pen with a fine F tip of about 0.6 mm; this listing is a box of 10.
Red is the colour people notice first, which is why it is used for reject tags, hazard notes, expiry dates and marked-up corrections. The fine tip keeps that red text small and neat on tags, sample tubes and the margins of drawings.
Lumocolor permanent marks almost all surfaces according to Staedtler, including overhead film, glass, metal, plastic and wood, and Staedtler say the marks stay put, smudge-free and waterproof, on nearly all of them. Drying takes a few seconds and the smell is mild, and the tip is locked so it will not sink into the barrel under a heavy hand.
Staedtler make the pen in Germany and rate it DRY SAFE and airplane-safe. Lightfastness is claimed for the black only, so red markings in direct sun may fade over time.
