Red Medium Pens For Corrections And Alerts
Staedtler 317-2 is a box of 10 red Lumocolor permanent pens fitted with the M (medium) tip for a line near 1.0 mm.
Red Lumocolor is the marker for things that must not be missed: failed tests on a QC sheet, hazards on a container, corrections on a transparency, expiry dates on a lab sample. The 1.0 mm line is heavy enough to stand out on a busy label but neat enough to write a full sentence.
Staedtler market the 317 as a universal pen for almost every surface; their catalogue names overhead film, CDs and DVDs. The ink is permanent with smudge-proof and waterproof results, dries within seconds and is low in odour. Lightfastness is stated for the black pen only. The tip is locked, the barrel and cap are polypropylene, DRY SAFE ink tolerates days uncapped, and pressure equalisation makes it fine to fly with.
Staedtler give Germany as the country of manufacture.
