Four Black Line Widths To Start Inking
Staedtler 308 WP4 is a set of four black pigment liners in 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 mm, packed in a stand-up Staedtler box.
Four widths cover most of what a beginner or a travelling sketcher needs: 0.1 mm for hatching and fine detail, 0.3 mm for everyday drawing and writing, 0.5 mm for confident lines, and 0.7 mm for outlines. It is a tidy way to learn line weight without buying four full boxes, and the clear box stands up on a desk to hold the pens.
All four use Staedtler's black pigment ink, described as indelible, lightfast and waterproof on paper, with acid free added in the AU catalogue. It erases on drafting film, does not bleed when highlighted, and Staedtler say it survives at least 12 hours uncapped. The long metal tips suit rulers, and from 0.1 mm also templates.
