Two Chisel Widths In Every Pen For Learning Calligraphy
Staedtler 3005 TB12 is a wallet of twelve double-ended calligraphy pens in assorted colours, part of Staedtler's Design Journey range.
Each pen carries two chisel tips, approx. 3.5 mm at one end and approx. 2.0 mm at the other, according to Staedtler. The broad end suits headings, large capitals and posters; the narrower end is easier for body text, smaller cards and a first attempt at italic hand. Keeping both widths on one barrel means a beginner can try each scale without buying two sets.
The pack artwork shows a practice alphabet with stroke order markings, a good hint at how the set is meant to be used: steady pen angle, slow strokes, then colour. Twelve colours are shown on the pack as a row of swatches running from yellow and red through pinks, violet, blues and greens to orange, brown, grey and black. The pens sit in a clear hanging wallet that closes for storage.
