Bold 2B Lead In The Thicker 0.7 mm Size
One tube of Staedtler Mars micro carbon 250 07-2B: twelve 0.7 mm leads in the soft 2B grade.
Pairing the 0.7 mm width with a soft 2B grade gives the boldest line in a standard mechanical pencil. Heavy-handed writers break fewer leads, quick sketches build tone fast, and multiple choice answer sheets that ask for a dark pencil mark are easy to fill.
Staedtler call the Mars micro carbon lead highly flexible and extremely break resistant, with smooth gliding, jet black lines that erase easily on paper and drawing card. It suits all mechanical pencils of the matching size, and the tube is ISO colour coded for 0.7 mm.
Soft graphite needs a little care: it wears faster and can smear across a page. Close the slider on the tube to keep spare leads from rattling loose.
