Firm H Leads For Neat 0.5 mm Linework
Staedtler 250 05-H gives you twelve firm H-grade leads, 0.5 mm wide, in one Mars micro carbon tube.
H is one step harder than F and a little lighter than HB. It holds its point longer and smears less, so it suits neat working, graph paper, measured layouts and technical sketches where a clean grey line matters more than a heavy black one.
According to Staedtler, Mars micro carbon leads are stable and break resistant, glide smoothly and give jet black lines that erase easily. Paper and drawing card are the intended surfaces, and the tube carries ISO colour coding so the width is easy to spot in a drawer.
For darker writing in the same pencil, the HB, B and 2B tubes are in the same range, and 2H and 3H go lighter again.
