Staedtler Mars micro carbon 250 05-F: a tube of twelve 0.5 mm leads in the F grade.
F is the grade that sits between HB and H. It writes a touch lighter and firmer than HB, so the point stays sharp longer and the page stays cleaner, but it is still dark enough to read easily. Accountants, engineers and anyone writing small figures in narrow columns often settle on it.
Staedtler state the Mars micro carbon lead is suitable for all mechanical pencils, glides smoothly, is highly flexible and extremely break resistant, and rubs out easily on paper and drawing card. The tube is marked to the ISO colour scheme for 0.5 mm.
