Black Omnichrom Leads To Keep The 768 Marking
Staedtler 218-9 holds 12 black water-soluble leads for the Lumocolor non-permanent omnichrom 768 leadholder.
Black is the everyday colour for light surfaces: pale timber, white plastics, clear glass and film, light stone and paper. Staedtler make the leads 70 mm long and roughly 3 mm thick, and describe them as giving an opaque mark on almost all surfaces, from metal and glass to leather and wood.
The marks are non-permanent, so layout lines and temporary notes can be wiped off many smooth surfaces later. That makes the black lead useful for setting out on glass or acrylic, numbering parts before assembly, or marking where a fitting goes.
The leads load into any 768 holder; pair them with the black 768N-9. Staedtler show Made in Germany and lightfast pictograms for the 218 leads. Sister trays come in white, yellow and red.
