Red Lumochrom Lead For Corrections And Mark-Ups
Twelve red Mars Lumochrom leads from Staedtler (204-2) in a plastic tray, each about 2 mm across and 130 mm long.
A red lead in a spare holder is the quickest way to mark changes on a drawing, circle errors on a check print or pick out a feature line that needs attention.
As Staedtler describe it, the Lumochrom lead is meant for drawing and sketching, for use on drawing card as well as transparent papers, and it fits all common 2 mm leadholders, giving the Mars 780 C as an example. The tray label reads rot/red, and Staedtler state the leads are made in Germany.
Coloured leads behave differently from graphite. Test erasing on a scrap of the same paper before relying on a correction coming out cleanly.
