Firm H Lead For Clean Lines In A 2 mm Holder
Staedtler 200-H gives you a tray of 12 Mars carbon leads in degree H, each about 2 mm thick and 130 mm long.
H is one step harder than HB. The line is a little lighter and stays sharp, which drafters and model makers like for measured drawings, cutting lines on card and neat lettering that should not smear when a ruler slides over it.
Each lead is rounded to about 2 mm and suits the Mars technico 780 C or any other common 2 mm holder. Staedtler make the Mars carbon range for paper and drawing card, across seven degrees from 4B to 4H. According to Staedtler, the leads are produced in Germany.
For the darkest finished lines use HB or B. For very faint construction work, 2H or 4H trays are the next steps up in hardness.
